Part:BBa_K5087028
T7 promotor template
This part is a template for the T7 promoter, meaning: a sequence complementary to the T7 promoter that serves as a foundational building block for IVT (in vitro transcription) templates used to synthesise crRNA molecules, which are crucial for use in the SHERLOCK [1] system (Specific High-sensitivity Enzymatic Reporter unLOCKing).
Not only is this sequence a key building block for such templates, but it also forms the core of the SynLOCK system developed by the 2024 JU-Krakow iGEM team. The SynLOCK Cassette (BBa_K5087017), which enables the creation of custom crRNA molecules compatible with the LwaCas13a protein, includes this part.
